Snow Storm - 2010

Saturday, January 23, 2010

While California and most of Arizona were drenched with rain, up here in Flagstaff, we recieved over 60 + inches of snow since Monday. Late Thursday night, it got up to 38 degrees, so intead of heavy snow, it turned to rain, it compacted the snow, and then made shuffling quite a chore the next day (heavy slush and ice).
taking a quick break from shuffling, sun is out, take some pictures.

The roads have not be plowed for 2 days, this 4x4, with chains, were having problem going through the road. He eventually gave up and stopped a little ways down.

We decided to trek through our neighborhood to see what it looks like. Still can't drive our car yet.

Cathedral Rock

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Almost half way up to Cathedral Rock, right where the harder climb starts. A better weather to climb today (around 50+) than the 95 degree temperature we endured middle of last year.

Texas Stadium, Irving, TX
1-8-2010
Crew is preparing the site before the big demolition. It's kind of sad, a stadium hosted so many ball games, offered so much memory, is meeting a fate like this.

What if the Roman had torn down the Coliseum?

I couldn't find my Canon SD400, so I had my bulkier Canon G2 with me. Not really a pocket camera, but image quality is still nice. Heck, 4MP is not bad at all for web posting.

Downtown Dallas - Night shots

Sunday, January 10, 2010

I don't know why, but last few trips I have had, seems like I am always accompanied by a cold front. This time in Dallas, record cold snap was there to greet me.
Christmas decoration.
